Boys Over Flower, Korea's version of Japanese manga Hana Yori Dango has captured the hearts of many Filipinos. I must say that I am one of the viewers who regularly watched their Filipino-dubbed episode everyday. Aside from enjoying the storyline, I also love the fashion styles of the characters in the said tv series. They are so fashion forward and from what I have heard last Saturday, the wardrobe budget spent for the show reached Php 5 Million. According to a local news, the suits and dresses of the characters are designer's clothes and custom-made for each of them to achieve their perfect preppy look.
Here's some of the still images from Boys Over Flowers:

Film Fashion: Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland
When I was a child, I was so fascinated with Lewis Carroll's novel, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It's an extraordinary story that transports me to the world of fantasy, thanks to my creative imagination. However for those who don't want to play with their mind, Tim Burton had a good news for you! He will bring the Wonderland into the silver screen. Before this movie hit the theaters near you, let's take a look at the fashion styles of the cast.
Mad Hatter played by Johnny Depp
To achieve the "Hatter" look in the novel's "A Mad Tea-Party" chapter, Johnny Depp sported an odd look with wild hair, oversized bow tie and large pins with 10/6 label on his giant hat.
White Queen Played by Anne Hathaway
To get the White Queen's look in "Through the Looking Glass", Anne Hathaway will wear a white long hair with fairer complexion.
Alice played by Mia Wasikowska
To achieve the perfect Alice's look, Burton said that Mia is the only character in the movie that will not be enhanced with heavy make up and digital manipulation.
Red Queen played by Helena Bonham Carter
Originally the Red Queen is illustrated as a legless chess piece. For the movie, Bonham Carter's head will be digitally enlarged to about three times of its actual size.
Tweedledee and Tweedledum played by Matt Lucas
Although they were not specified as twins in the novel,Tweedledee and Tweedledum will be twins for the movie.

the best eyeliner- for free!
Even though I keep reading that you're not supposed to line underneath your eyes, I've always liked it. It supposedly makes your eyes look smaller, but mine are so big that I don't think it matters. Plus I like that really defined look (smudgy/soft eyeliner.... not so much). Anyway, I seem to have a problem keeping it on that skin closest to my actual eyeball. Even with my waterproof eyeliner, it just disappears in an hour or so. So today, I tried dipping my angle brush in the extra black stuff that ends up on the end of my mascara wand, and applied it to that little part of my eyelid. And guess what? Hasn't budged all day. It works like liquid liner in that it's really dense and pigmented. And this is super cheap since I use Maybelline Great Lash every day. I may never waste money on super long-lasting waterproof eyeliner again.

Lanvin Resort 2010 Collection
Have you seen Alber Elbaz's Lanvin Resort 2010 Collection? The collection was composed of fashion pieces in vibrant and rich color. The models paraded the runway wearing Maxi dresses, full skirts, sequin ensembles, denims and jumpsuits. They were also adorned with large flower, pearl necklaces, earrings, sunglasses, and hats. And look at the footwear that matches their outfit! Plus, they all sported an editorial/lookbook poses.
Lanvin's collection certainly gives me a desire to spend a vacation to Acapulco!

Just like other first ladies, Michelle Obama became a part of the popular culture and in every public appearance all eyes were set to her. From the campaign period up to now, her fashion choices were being featured in the news, magazines and even websites, She was praised by fashion critics for her classic and confident look. In fact, Mrs. Obama was always included in top 10 best-dressed lists. She became a certified fashion icon and a trend setter like Jacqueling Kennedy.
In her honor, the Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) will display her Inaugural Day outfit as part of "Isabel Toledo: Fashion from the Inside Out" exhibit. The gold sheath dress and its matching overcoat can be viewed by public from June 17 to September 6, 2009.

Wal-Mart's Miley Cyrus Fashion Line Predictions
Wal-Mart, a giant retailer released a press release last June 3 telling people to watch out for their upcoming fashion line. This line is called "Miley Cyrus & Max Azria" since the store collaborated with Miley Cyrus and Maz Azria for the project. This fashion line will be available on August, in preparation for the back-to-school shopping spree. According to Wal-Mart, the rock-music inspired fashion line will surely attract teenagers and will be sold for only $12 or less.

Eu comprei a primeira delas e estou apaixonada!!
